If you missed our outrageously delicious subscriber-appreciation party, do not fear. You still have a whole summer to enjoy the South Fork Taco Trail, and to sign up for future subscriber parties.

Yes, we said Taco Trail. Just like the incredible wine trails we enjoy on both forks, the growing number of East End restaurants that make excellent tacos means we are seeing the beginnings of a taco trail that stretches from Taqueria Mexico in Riverhead (favorite of our editor Eileen M. Duffy) to Estia‘s in Sag Harbor to La Fondita in Amagansett and ending at La Brisa in Montauk.

La Brisa, which we profiled this spring, is the Montauk offshoot of New York-based Tacombi. They place a premium on aesthetics, from the Miami-colors of the decor to the labels on the chip bags to the careful construction of Mexican street food. Think corn with shaved queso fresco and spices, fish and veggie tacos, and a triumvirate of spiked juice drinks. Our Lindsay Morris was there to capture all the happy Edible campers sipping and supping.
